Harvesting Resilience

posted on

October 10, 2024

Our region boasts a rich tapestry of organic farms, regenerative ranches, and forward-thinking restaurants committed to sourcing ingredients from local producers and growers.

At Colvin Ranch, we focus on regenerative agricultural practices that help native plants and animals thrive alongside our livestock. Our ranch is home to some of the last remaining native prairies in Southwest Washington, and is protected by a conservation easement to ensure it will remain prairie forever.

Over five generations, we've found that what's best for the land and the animals, is best for people, too. So while our stewardship of the land benefits the environment, it also helps us raise the best grass-fed, grass-finished beef available.

Learn more about how farmers, ranchers, and chefs are harvesting resilience and working together to create a vibrant South Sound food scene.

Colvin Ranch Day 2025

Come join us to celebrate the 20th anniversary of our NRCS conservation easement. We'll have live music, food, ranch tours, wildflower walks, and fun activities for kids.

Agriculture is more than just farmers

It takes a whole network of people, businesses, and infrastructure to get food from the field to your fork. Here's a snapshot of the agriculture-related people and businesses in our region who all contribute in some way to making it possible for us to sell the best grass-fed, grass-finished beef in our region.

Community Engagement in 2024

At Colvin Ranch, our mission is to take care of the land, animals, and people in our community. We accomplish this through conservation practices that enable us to produce healthy, high-quality meat for our community, while helping native plants and animals flourish alongside our livestock. In 2024, our focus was on community engagement. Here's a quick snapshot of what we accomplished with our small but mighty team.
